Advanced Acting Techniques

This is a training class where students can explore different characters, different methods, and work on perfecting many challenging crafts of the theater. Kids will learn how to manipulate their voice, their face, and their frame. They are trained in physical comedy, stage-combat, and minor weapon use. Improvisation, Commedia dell'arte, slap-stick, melodrama, and realism are some of the styles focused on. There will also be time to explore some of the other jobs within theater such as set and costume design. This program is an excellent complement to our other theater classes, especially Center Stage. It allows these students more time to train through games, which they love.
